Pink Floyd’s “Moonhead”
A moon landing space jam from 1969
During the descent of Apollo 11 to the lunar surface in 1969, the BBC invited Pink Floyd into the studio to jam during the broadcast. It remains unreleased, this spacey, winding blues session, but you can hear it here thanks to the magic of the internet.
The footage is from later Apollo missions (there was not rover on Apollo 11, for instance) but it helps set the mood for sure.
Again, things like this and “Limbo”, the Jim Henson brain film, remember they used to be on television.
I want this on my TV.
